The Communications and Executive Assistant will be responsible for:
Leading and executing a variety of communications activities such as writing, digital strategies, media relations and graphic design.
Developing activities, messages, materials and engaging contacts for business development purposes. The assistant will also manage existing client relations.
Event planning, marketing and execution.
Calendar management, expense tracting, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
Three years of communications and administration experience.
Initiative-taker who knows how to work independently and efficiently while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
An excellent writer who can produce clear, concise, compelling and credible communication materials ranging from social media and blog posts to press releases and reports.
Creative and proactive problem solver who can tackle challenges with a positive, can-do attitude.
Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in MS Office, MailChimp, Word Press, Squarespace and Social Media platforms.
Cares about personal and community development for women and children of African descent.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, law, international relations, business administration, political science or related field.
A competitive salary, a computer with cloud storage, telephone and internet equipment, communication allowance, and transportation stipend will be provided.
