The Chief Operating Officer will provide overall leadership for the successful management of all teams by ensuring effective coordination of deliverables for both operational and administrative processes in line with organizational goals and Objectives. He / She will ensure that all deliverables are benchmarked with the annual target of the Organisation
Coordinate and manage personnel work related matters, as well as, in respect of recruitment selection, induction and orientation.
Provide Leadership for employee training and educational workshops, benchmarking professional standards and developing and motivating staff in order to ensure high levels of productivity and quality service standards are being upheld.
Work closely with the Human Resources Department to administer and effect employee performance appraisals, with proposed action plans.
Work closely with the Human Resources Department in developing/modifying job descriptions and staff performance goals, as necessary.
Coordinate Management and staff meetings, executing actions steps, and meeting requirements, as may be assigned.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Bring on board organizations for the purpose of Government/Private partnership, Coordinating Grants, Fund-raising, collaboration and building alliances with relevant organizations i.e. other NGOs or Funding Agencies, SME's, social enterprises that have similar vision.
Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Keep Directors informed about grant funding opportunities for start-ups, concerning IT and Education and review the proposals before submission.
Ensure regular networking and attending of high-profile conferences or meetings to create the right platform for business opportunities for the company
Determine goods and services to be sold, and set prices and credit terms, based on forecasts of customer demand
Coordinate businesses and projects to ensure that they are efficiently and effectively provided needed services while staying within budgetary limits
Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
Direct and coordinate organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
Ensure monthly reports of activities on Edufirst.ng Portal are given.
Coordinate team to carry out monthly survey on EduTab, EduPad, CodeFunky and all other Services rendered by the organization.
Annually ensure all trademarks and necessary documentation for the Organisation are properly kept.
Attend management meeting and ensure all relevant informations are conveyed throughout the Office.
Hold regular Staff meetings to keep staff up to date on all aspect of the Business
Maintain professional relationship with PTA, Management and other Regulatory bodies in the Schools
Qualifications and Requirements:
5-7 years Proven work experience in a managerial position
Must be very conversant with the ICT industry or have an ICT background.
Must have strong operational management experience Reasonable knowledge of the technology space in Nigeria Candidate must have experience overseeing Administration, Business, Operations, Marketing and Financial departments.
