At a very high level a Business Analyst is expected to;

Extract the business requirements from relevant stakeholders.

Document the business requirements into functional requirements/            technical requirements/ user stories etc. Basically to form base information using which the product can be developed.

Provide support during product implementation.

Assist in post-implementation issues.

Work on the process efficiency.

Chalk out the strategy, if part of the role.

Manage stakeholders.

Conduct gap analysis. 

Verification of solution.

Software Documentation.

Requirements: Computer Science, business degree or related field

Experience and Knowledge Required:

Minimum of 4 years active experience in software industry with knowledge of any of the following:

Banking application development

Financial Budget application

Enterprise Resources Management

Business Analyst tools.

Skills and Tools:

Communication Skills 

Problem solving skills

Negotiation skills
