Primary Objective of the Role: Oversee the day-to-day running and ambience of the school and provide a full range of administrative support to the Director and assist with policy formulation, implementation, quality assurance and school improvement.
General Office and Administrative Duties: Develop short-and long-term operation initiatives/strategies that are aligned to the corporate goals. Lead and direct Administrative team. Relate to all customers and provide professional customer service always. Attend to parent issues and give prompt response, solutions, and comfort always. Attend to school registration and annual updates at local and state events.
Policy Formulation Duties: Oversee the operational activities in the organisation. Provide a full range of administrative support to the Director and assist with policy formulation or implementation; and school improvement. The school administrator takes a leadership role in programme and services implementation and development as appropriate.
Environment Management Duties: Ensure proper functioning of all health and safety equipment such as First Aid box, Fire Alarm, Fire Extinguisher. Responsible for the overall maintenance of the school grounds and school buildings. Ensure facility manager works in line with set standards.
Budget and Deployment Duties: Maintains a budget and is responsible for all expenditures of school and base budget funds. Play a key planning and management role in the school, making sure all resources(staff,income and facilities) are used in the best way to maximise what is available for teaching and learning. Ensure all transactions are done in accordance with Admin/financial operating procedures of the school.
Records, Reports and IT Management: Provide and maintain up to date technology support and backup services. Maintain and Upload website May be responsible for the school’s management information system, requiring a high level of IT proficiency. Preparation of reports and statistics for either use within the school(e.g staff management meetings) or externally(e.g submitting reports or statistical information to local authorities.
Quality Control Duties: Manage and control all quality control activities in accordance with identified quality assurance standards, procedures, client specifications and contract requirements. To represent the best interests of the School at all times and maintain an effective and appropriate balance of approach in all activities.
- A minimum of 7-10 years relevant work experience in operations management and general office procedures with 4 years at Managerial level. Previous experience must be a structured corporate environment.
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Operational Management, Business Administration, Arts, Finance or other relevant fields of study. MBA or Masters Degree is an added advantage.
