Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the Company Annual Budget and long-term financial strategies
  • Preparation of the Company Financial Statements and Management Reports,monthly, quarterly and annually
  • Manage relationship and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, in conjunction with the
  • Company’s tax consultants by ensuring that returns are rendered promptly and efficiently
  • Ensure all bank accounts are reconciled and monthly financial reports are properly prepared
  • Manage relationships with Financial Institutions and optimise the company working capital
  • Working with management in protecting the Company& margins through reduction in Net Financing costs, control of operational costs, maximizing income and achieving company’s earnings objectives
  • Liaising with external auditors, regulatory authorities and other relevant stakeholders
  • Manage quality control over financial transactions and reporting
  • Manage Billing, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Cost Accounting,
  • Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
  • Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions
  • Ensure all documentations for approval are correct and transactions are accurately posted into the
  • Company’s ERP (ERP implementation will be co-ordinated by the successful candidate).


Qualifications/Experience:

  • B.Sc or HND in a related field (First or Second Class Upper Division). Having an M.Sc. in Social Sciences or Management will be an added advantage
  • A Qualified Accountant, with a minimum of ten (10) years post qualification experience and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in similar role
  • Proficient in the use of Enterprise-wide Application such as SAGE or SAP and Microsoft Office packages, including PowerPoint Presentation
