Make entries and maintain daily financial records. Ensure that the staff of Boaz Commodities Ltd follows the specified procedures in their expenditure applications/requisitions. Provide assistance in office management with the responsibilities of financial transactions and product book-keeping.

Job Description

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Functionally Reports To the Account Officer

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal (in order of necessity):

Account Officer, Marketing Officers, Secretary, Depot Reps, HR

External:

External Auditors, Customers, Financial Institutions, Suppliers, Regulatory bodies, Stakeholders

Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

  • Calculation and Payment of Overages.
  • Funding and monitoring of Operations accounts.
  • Raising of Cheques for payments
  • Payment and monitoring of daily expenses
  • Recording of expenses made by the Directors
  • Handling of Petty cash
  • Posting of Petty cash in the QuickBooks
  • Handling of payments to suppliers via transfer letters
  • Raising and writing of payment vouchers
  • Filling waybills after cross-checking the data on the App for any possible error
  • Daily receipt of customers’ payments into the QuickBooks
  • Posting of payment to suppliers in the QuickBooks
  • Assist in monthly bank reconciliation
  • Assist in remittance to relevant Tax authorities
  • Identify threats and opportunities for business
  • Protect Boaz Commodities Ltd’s interest and achieve its goals
  • Develop a new business idea and suggest ways of improving existing business
  • Update job knowledge by participating in training, research, and self-education
  • Perform other duties as assigned by superior officers

Education Qualification:

  • OND Accounting or SSCE + 2years Accounting experience

Professional Qualification:

  • (Not mandatory)

Experience:

  • 0 - 1-year work experience

Grade:

  • Band B
