A reputable organization seeks to fill the above position with suitable and qualified persons.
 Job Brief:

He/She will be responsible for the end to end production of company’s pastry, specialty bread and dessert items. Ensure top quality of food ingredients or prepared foods.

Job Description:
  • Achieve daily production goals as required by the company, ie you must produce baked items according to established standards stated in the recipes. Please note that you are also required to package the finished items in the company’ branded bags.
  • Monitor items and equipment required during baking and prepping process
  • Carry out prepping process, all items/ingredients used for the production of cooked/baked goods must be processed accordingly, i.e. measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients (according to established protocols and recipes of the company).
  • Ensure food surfaces and cooking/baking equipment meet all health and safety standards.
  • Use exact measurements always and pay strict attention to timing. Complete production in good time to meet the delivery requirement of customers.
  • Report all issues of food wastage or production equipment to the kitchen supervisors or manager in his/her absence in a timely manner.
  • Master and manage the use of all cooking/baking equipment.
  • Create new recipes, and propose to management.
  • Request for materials from the store, keep your supervisor informed or items which are out of stock.
  • Conduct quality check of cooked/baked goods before it leaves the kitchen.
Job Requirement:
  • A degree or related education in food handling. 
  • Five years previous experience as a pastry chef/baker.
  • Capable of working early mornings, nights, and weekends in a fast-paced environment
