Job Description

  • Overall management and control of the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities at the site;
  • Commissioning team management at the site;
  • Coordination with other disciplines, sub-contractors, clients and vendor's/ licensors;
  • Development of pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up strategy;
  • Development of pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up logic sequences used to prepare the high-level schedule;
  • Preparation of pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up plan and schedule;
  • Preparation of manpower requirements for pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up and organization chart;
  • Identification of needs and preparation of commissioning personnel, mobilization schedule;
  • Participation in development of sub-contracts for specific operations like, pipeline commissioning, chemical cleaning, specialist technical labor supply;
  • Definition of resources, materials, consumables, and special tools required for pre-commissioning commissioning and start-up;
  • Coordination with other departments (design, process, project management, etc.) by providing them all the elements relating to pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up necessary for their activities;
  • Participation, as required to key project reviews (P&ID, Constructability, HAZOP, Model reviews, etc.);
  • Review of final P&ID's;
  • Review and approval of all pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up related documents (system/sub-system identification, quality forms, procedures/manuals/dossiers etc.);
  • Preparation and execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities as per plan and schedule;
  • Active involvement in defining the construction completion priority as per the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up sequence logic;
  • Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports as required;
  • Site commissioning team management;
  • Coordination with construction, client team, commissioning sub-contractors and Vendors / Licensors;
  • Review and approval of detailed pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up procedures;
  • Management of all documents necessary for pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up and final documentation handover;
  • Management of pre-commissioning and commissioning database and punch list;
  • Management of start-up of the facilities;
  • management of performance test run execution and provisional acceptance of facilities;
  • Initiating corrective actions and verifying their proper implementation;
  • Preparation of final closeout report related to pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up;
  • Preparation of feedback on pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up;
  • Evaluation of site commissioning team members.

Job Requirement:

  • BSc in Engineering equivalent or Higher; with at a minimum of 15 years experience or  Managerial experience = 8 Years;
  • Experience of supervision and Execution of Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up activities of the various project covering Refineries, Oil & Gas production & processing, Pipelines, Petrochemicals etc at the site and home office preparation jobs;
  • Experience in design reviews
