A new resort hotel in Epe, Lagos State, under the management of a hospitality group, is looking for employees who are:

Overview of duties

  • Welcomes guests and provides a high standard of restaurant and conferencing service
  • Contributes to guest satisfaction through the quality of his/her work and exemplary behaviour
  • Helps increase the restaurant's revenue through his/her sales efforts


Main responsibilities

Customer relations

  • Provides a friendly and personalised welcome for guests
  • Offers an attentive service to guests, adapting to any constraints
  • Heeds any remarks made by guests and ensures follow-up
  • Promotes the F, B & B offer
  • Promotes the Wine selction menu
  • Conveys the image of the resort


Professional techniques / Production

Completes the following tasks:

  • prepares the point of sale and preparation areas
  • cleans and tidies the restaurant and preparation areas after closing
  • Before every workshift, finds out about dish composition and any shortages
  • Organises his/her work to suit fluctuations in numbers, events and guests
  • Helps keep the equipment used in good condition


Commercial / Sales

  • Promotes the Wine selection menu
  • Carries out additional sales where possible
  • Helps increase guest loyalty through quality of service


Management and administration

  • Takes part in meeting the department's targets by respecting the procedures and internal audits applicable in the resort
  • Helps manage crockery and appliances by avoiding breakages
  • May be asked to help with inventories, check deliveries and store food items


Hygiene / Personal safety / Environment

  • Ensures that the workplace remains clean and tidy and the safety of consumable goods by always respecting
  • hygiene standards
  • Respects the instructions and safety guidelines for the equipment used
  • Applies the resort's security regulations (in case of fire etc)


Reporting line

Reports to the Restaurant Supervisor



Education / Professional experience

  • Vocational certificate or diploma in F&B and/or anyone eager to work in the sector regardless of their
  • educational background, pending validation of their skills and motivation
  • Fluent in the national language, and Business English
