A new resort hotel in Epe, Lagos State, under the management of a hospitality group, is looking for employees who are:

Overview of duties

  • The resort team member takes part in the daily tasks associated with the housekeeping operations.
  • He/she helps provide continual satisfaction for guests by ensuring top quality service in compliance with
  • current standards, procedures and legislation.


Main responsibilities

Customer relations

  • Delivers a wide range of guest services (cleaning, room preparation and set-up, room access control and
  • preparing bathrooms, etc.)
  • Provides a personal welcome for guests and creates a warm and friendly atmosphere
  • Helps gain the loyalty of existing clientele
  • May be called on to handle any guest complaints or problems, reporting them to the resort management


Management and administration

Cleans rooms

  • Checks stock, guest supply and linen levels and requests sufficient stock to prepare rooms
  • May be required to work overtime due to operational requirements
  • Hygiene / Personal safety / Environment
  • Cleans the resort rooms and corridors, interior and exterior (if no general attendants are on duty), ensuring compliance with
  • current standards and hygiene regulations
  • Helps check the technical maintenance of the resort and keeps any equipment (s)he uses in good condition
  • Ensures the safety of the people and property in the resort
  • Observes that there is an application of all legislation, particularly protection laws regarding alcohol, prostitution and drugs
  • and reports any ill-practices to resort management


Reporting line

Reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor



Education / Professional experience

Vocational qualification in hospitality is preferred. Previous experience in a similar position, or in the hospitality or customer service sectors.


Skills / Qualities

Adaptability, team spirit, a thorough approach, service minded, welcoming and well organised.
