Job Summary:

  • Supervise employees

Essential Functions:

  • Implement policies
  • Resolve personnel issues
  • Conduct weekly training sessions
  • Maintain and update work schedules
  • Conduct and write performance reviews
  • Maintain hours worked and log daily overtime approved by supervisor
  • Handle interviews, personnel hires, and employment termination
  • Settle employee grievances
  • Attend staff meetings prepared to give production report
  • Plan and conduct employee meetings
  • Monitor and schedule hazardous waste removal
  • Monitor safety compliance
  • Monitor expenditures per production budget guidelines
  • Plan budget
  • Compile supply list from all departments and order supplies
  • Schedule preventative maintenance for each piece of equipment
  • Make minor repairs on equipment
  • Maintain supply of parts for normal repairs
  • Schedule repairman for major repairs
  • Conduct quality inspections
  • Monitor plant workflow and production standards
  • Monitor delivery schedules for sub plants
  • Monitor quality and delivery schedules for sub plants, dry stores, and routes.
  • Be available to handle problems involving quality and delivery to sub plants



  • Have a working knowledge of all implemented and new policies
  • Resolve or deal with any personnel issues and reporting procedures
  • Know training procedures per training manual
  • Know the production workload and procedures necessary for completion
  • Follow company procedures using employment review forms
  • Know company procedures for overtime
  • Follow interviewing, hiring, and termination policies
  • Follow plant policies 238
  • Know how to properly prepare a production report
  • Know company policies and procedures
  • Know city, state, and federal hazardous waste removal and storage procedures
  • Know and follow company and OSHA safely compliance rules
  • Know company budget process
  • Follow company procedures for ordering supplies
  • Follow preventative maintenance guidelines for each piece of equipment in the plant
  • Follow equipment manufacturers’ instructions for repairs
  • Follow company procedures for ordering and using outside services
  • Know company quality standards for each item
  • Know tagging, marking, and invoicing procedures, and workflow methods used in the plant
  • Know the production standards for each production unit
  • Know pickup and delivery schedules for sub plants, dry stores, and routes
  • Know company practices and procedures for delivery and quality checks for sub plants
  • Know company procedures for resolving quality and delivery issues for the sub plants




  • Must have budget planning skills
  • Must have employee supervisory skills
  • Able to learn and comprehend plant operations procedures
  • Able to plan and implement employee training sessions
