Job Summary

The clerk typist’s primary responsibility is data entry and information processing. Spends most of the time in front of computers, entering text with applications like word processors and  spreadsheets.


Key responsibilities

  • Gathering of Information

  • Data input and File preparation

  • Maintaining spreadsheets and databases (Record management system).

  • Retrieve and present data using a computer

  • Ensure that all matters relating to the process of information are carried out in a prompt, efficient manner and in accordance with the company’s policy and procedure.

  • Work cooperatively with team members and colleagues, contributing positively and constructively to the achievement of team and company objectives.


Skills and Competences

  • Oral Communication Skills – Must speak English fluently.

  • Fast Typing Skills-  must be able to possess fast typing skills; accurate typing speed of 40 words per minute or over.

  • Attention to details- must be able to pay attention to detail whilst working in a fast paced, pressurised environment

  • IT Skills – Must know how to make good use of the computer, Internet and microsoft Office tool.

  • People Friendly – Must be amiable and know how to make friends and easily get along with people.

  • Willing to Learn – Must have a passion for learning and self-improvement.



Minimum qualification is SSCE or Diploma. Higher qualifications will be an added advantage.

Interested candidate must live close to Ikeja.
