Under supervision, the human resource assistant performs work of moderate difficulty in human resources administration and performs related work as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees.
- Participates in recruitment efforts for all personnel.
- Conducts new-employee orientations; administers pre-employment tests; conducts reference checks.
- Assists in the exit interview process.
- Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
- Updates human resource spreadsheet with employee change requests and processes paperwork.
- Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
- Helps maintain company organization charts and the employee directory.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Human Resources Capacity, Customer/Client Focus, Ethical Conduct, Personal Effectiveness/Credibility.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in administrative functions or related field.
- Higher National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Human resource related certifications will also be an added advantage
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.
