Routinecharacteristics top performers

Top performers are always mindful of their daily routine. The little and big tasks that contribute immensely to goals or projects. It could be as simple as checking your email early when you arrive at work to receive new updates on a task or project from the team or manager before continuing your daily routine.

This simple action can be the difference between investing your whole morning or day on a project only to find out that it has been rescheduled or important details changed. You wouldn’t have wasted your time by doing this.

Top performers also do not allow how boring their daily routines to reduce their contribution to them as they understand this will generally affect the total outcome of projects and goals.

There are certainly many things competing with our time in the 21st century; from people to devices and notifications from business and personal mediums. You need to understand how not to allow this take over your entire day.

In a city like Lagos, time management as a skill of top performers also means arriving to work on time. This means you’ll have to factor traffic situation seen and unforeseen to enable you to arrive on time.

Communicationcharacteristics top performers

Top performers in the workplace always communicate clearly. Communication is very vital to understand and be understood; this will enhance how teams and colleagues execute their tasks.

Being a good communicator also ensures outgoing communication does not misrepresent the image of the organisation they represent and work.

In the age of short attention span, use of big words and earth-shaking grammatical constructions are not the best route, concise and clear communication will always win.

  2. Hello,
Yes, the above three characteristics are very vital to top workplace achievers. In addition, top achievers are disciplined to achieve , and also lead by examples, or what do you think?
    Thank you.

  3. An precise and useful post. Thank you Mr Akuma.
Another is being empathetic to their fellow colleagues is an important quality as well. I believe people seeing themselves in you, seeing you as one of them is something that can set one apart. It kind of relates to being humble enough to have time for your colleagues as well for a man is not an island. Man was not created to dwell/live in isolation.
