  1. Impressive Statistics Report!

Well presented information as well – good balance of graphics and texts.

I’m just curious to know what the major industry is in Yobe that placed the state in 3rd place. Thanks.

  2. I really appreciate your efforts in sending jobs alerts but more work needs to be in job alerts in Aba, Abia State. Thanks

  3. Well articulated report. This will help the Learning and Development community in their programmes and planning.
Those who are searching for jobs, will know the required skills in various industries.
It will also help the governments, at levels to make projections and plan properly.
i salute all the team members for a job well done

  4. Very interesting report, good presentation. The graphic is self explanatory. Good work guys. I believe if our policy makers will read this they should be able to interprete further economic & social development. Pls provide more info how Yobe was able to surpass so many state like rivers, Niger etc. Thanks

  5. Since i have registered with this Jobberman, i have nt received any interview message and i have uploaded my CV. Please what is happening?

  6. What’s so crucial about age that makes most employers so partial. Just curious. A well presented statistics though.

  7. This is a lovely presentation with a very good data visualization. Very commendable giving our country’s lack of reliable data on lot of indexes.

However, I am still trying to wrap my head on how degree holders constitute 64% while degree+ made up 76% of the applicants.

In addition, the point raised by the previous commenteris a valid. Yobe as the 3 state with highest number of job posts? Could dat be due to study bias?

    • Applicants who have ONLY university degrees are 64%, while those who have university degrees and other qualifications are 76% (the 64% inclusive). Most of the jobs in Yobe were posted by banks, NGOs and the military all in a bid to get people back to work in North-East and rebuild the region.

      • Please, am looking for a well payed job I guaranteed from Institute of management and technology, I study microbiology and I just finished my services by October. Please link me to one of your company’s or banks. Thanks am looking forward to hear from you.

        • You “guaranteed” abi “graduated”! “I ‘study’ microbiology and I just finished my ‘services by’ October” nawa o, how about, I studied microbiology and I just finished my service in October?
And it is “thanks I am” or “thanks I’m” not “thanks am”! phewwwwwh!

          • Hmmmmmmm! Lord Jay, I am looking for this guy to hire. He will make a good editor! Lol! Unbelievable! Who let this guy slip through Primary school. May be Jobberman should think of a research on the impact of the quality of graduates turnover by universities on the high rate of unemployment in Nigeria.

        • With the way you are writing, it will really take a long time for you to land a job, any one for that matter. 2ndly, it goes to show the difficulties employers of labor face in recruiting locally trained hands. Quality is really very low.

        • Dear Ugwu Chinwendu.
Kindly note that jobs aren’t just waiting on the road side to be picked. Jobs indicate projects that need to be executed, problems that need to be solved, decisions that need to be taken. One thing I know is that jobs aren’t readily available to persons who aren’t ready. The author isn’t advertising jobs, so it’s kinda out of place to make a request for “linkage” on this forum. Secondly, endeavor to be more careful with your spellings and grammar. That’s already a big minus if this were an application. #Just observing

  8. Pls send me ur full report. I will love to write a paper on it with the aid of your data. I will clearly also referred to you. Thanks alot. Am a research student at cu. Thanks

  9. I ve since known that the brain behind jobberman is nothing but excellent. I must express my gratitude and give kudos to the man behind the wheel of jobberman’s team. Thank you sir. Through jobberman, I got many interviews, I attended few, while I shun few. I got two jobs but I decided to still continue with my current company till bigger one comes.
Thanks and compliment of the season to jobberman team.

  10. I mean when she is being frustrated. Just only God’s grace if u don’t have connection with big men

  11. why struggle to get jobs in lagos, while one can eventually get paid higger outside of lagos, looking at the stress, high cost of living, etc,
i pray to get a better job next year

  12. Organised statistical report that capture all the indices needed to evaluate the nation labour market.

    Good job.

  13. This is a unique and good trends in feeding the users back, its an analytical report that shows all segments of reports within a certain periods in the year.

We hope to see an improved analytical reports of such at every end of the year. Pls keep trending on the good path.

  14. @dami..probably its.more.of consulting and services job that were prevalent in yobe…as a result of the rebuilding efforts after the boko haram insurgency, a lot of NGO are involved in this massive involves alot.of training to rehabilitate the IDPs….. and of course….these involve world class consultants and global bodies like USAID, Global Fund..DFID..and their local conterparts…

  15. Great job. Great effort was required to come out with this piece of information. However, the job openings that placed Yobe as third, is it in the public sector or private sector? I also have problem with consulting as the highest salary paying industry.

    • Most of the jobs posted in Yobe were from government/military, NGOs and banks, as part of the ongoing efforts to get people back to work and rebuild the north-east region. At a certain period during the year, a particular bank embarked on a large scale recruitment drive for entry level applicants with a higher salary than what applicants of the same level in Lagos and other places earned.

      • Good morning sir, please I need a job in any part of the country. I am an HND holder with Upper credit in accounting. I have five years working experience as an Accountant/ Business Manager. Kindly links me with any company that is recruiting please.

  16. This employment platform is real enterprising for real people scouting for better placements and carrier development.

  17. I av applied for various jobs but didn’t get any interview but all those scammer kind of messages on my phone jobberman what is really happening I even decided not to send my cv to any company again cos of all those fake companies pls we are going into a new year pls let there be positivity of jobs for fresh graduates like me .thank you.

  18. Well articulated report! This shows the level of unemployment and the need for more jobs to be created via entrepreneurship.

  19. Jobberman you always post attractive job vacancies, but people from rivers state. are hardly call for interview, left alone given jobs. Personal for years now I have been applying. Through your site, but no sho. Meet xmas.

  20. This is very impressive. Please do this periodically, maybe quarterly. If government means business with addressing unemployment, they should take this very seriously. Kudos.

  21. What is so much about qualification that company required so much than the experience.just imagine a man that has been working for 6years because he does not have paper work that disqualified questions is does paper do the work or man.

  22. Jobs are very difficult to get online. I applied for federal jobs online, I was invited to Abuja twice in January. But it is very difficult except you know someone from the top. Face reality, Nigerians still give in to tribalism favourism meanwhile true merits are left out. Good statistics though but Nigerian factors must take it place in different offices and establishment.

  24. It was a well presented statistic anyway. But wish our ogas at the top could have an access to these, may be that would may them pay more attention to our yearnings.
More salute to the jobberman group, i belong to the conglomerate! Though I’ve applied for thousand of jobs via this site not even half an invitation was i called for. yet i remain loyal to you guys. Job well done, keep it up.

  25. I commend the Jobberman team for a job well done. Accurate data is not easy to come by in Nigeria of today but yours is an exception. Please, keep up the good work. More grease to your elbows. Regards!

  27. Nice statistics!!
I have been on this platform for over three years now but never shortlisted in any of the job opportunity online. Its so sad!!
    Nice job anyway.

  28. Interesting to get a report on national activities in this area.
But I think the report is biased considering there are many online job search sites in Nigeria and Jobberman is fast dropping in favor of others (no offense intended).

For people to be able to take well informed decisions based on this reports, Jobberman should in the future collaborate with competitors to build a more holistic report, am certain everyone will appreciate that.

    Good job, still.

  29. Very nice report, God bless you mr Gbenga and the team members. I got only few interview frm jobberman and its scam. They are customer service institute. But post customer service vacancy. They wl do 2 mins test and said if u pass you will get casual work but if you don’t pass they will train you for 2weeks and you will pay 53,000naira and you must pay atleast half before you start the training and pay the balance before you complete the traning in two weeks and no body pass the test.after the two weeks training with 53,000naira. You will wait for them to get client that need customer seervice person to post you there. Its ridiculous. Some will call you for interview and they will tell you they are into health service you have to pay to get you train and give materia.please do something about these

  30. There are a few interesting points with time in this article but
I don’t know if I see these center to heart.
