Purpose of the position

To represent the interest of SCSP to Consultants and Contractors by participating in the day to day project execution process.


Main Responsibilities

Integrate all contractors’/consultants’ activities on site so as to ensure sequential flow of tasks in an organized manner for better performance on site.

Communicate with all stakeholders to arrive at an up-to-date and achievable work programme

Prepares, updates and ensure adherence with Work Breakdown Schedule.

Ensures monitoring of projects to agreed quality, time and cost.

Ensure minimal or no time and cost over-run on project.

Prevents unnecessary scope variations and if unavoidable; obtains approvals for such variations.

Proactively eliminate or reduce unforseen project risks before escalation.

Liaise with Finance department for Contractor/Consultants valuations and payment.

Prepares project status report and post-mortem reports

Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

Obtain Certificate of practical completion after attesting project meet the required standard.

Identify task interdependencies and critical milestones of multiple projects.

Ensures that drawings meets with the expectations of Clients.

Monitors the activities of the fabrication team.

Ensures that the quotations sent to out conforms to the existing pricing.

Co-ordinates site meetings and other technical meetings

All other duties assigned by Management.


Qualifications and skills required

Qualifications: BSC/HND in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and related Engineering with 10 years’ work experience.


Abilities/Skills: Interpersonal, Financial and good communication skills, knowledge of MS Project, Autocad and any project system ERP is an added advantage. PMP certification will be an added advantage
