Chemical engineers apply the principles of chemistry, biology, physics, and math to solve problems that involve the production or use of chemicals, fuel, drugs, food, and many other products.
They design processes and recommend equipment's for large-scale manufacturing, plan and test production methods and byproducts treatment, and direct facility operations.
They work mostly in offices or laboratories.
They may spend time at industrial plants and other locations, where they monitor or direct operations or solve onsite problems.
Nearly all chemical engineers work full time.
Skills and Qualifications:
A graduate with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or other related courses and probably with or without value practical experience. But the candidates should have a mature, non-judgemental and confident manner. The ability to interact well with people from a wide range of backgrounds, together with good problem solving, project/time management and communication skills are essential. Excellent communications skills are vital, as is the ability to motivate others.
