The Executive Assistant is highly organized, detail-oriented multi-taskers who can work under pressure and meet deadlines. The responsibilities usually often include assisting with personal tasks, along with business for all categories of staff.


Duties and responsibilities

  • devising and maintaining office systems, including data management and filing
  • arranging travel, visas and accommodation and, occasionally, travelling with the executive to take notes or dictation at meetings or to provide general assistance during presentations
  • screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate
  • meeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniority
  • Planning, organizing and managing events
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Completing personal task for executives



  • Polished communications skills – both verbal and written 
  • Multi-tasking skills 
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and delegate when necessary 
  • Great planning and accurate reporting skills 
  • Must be discrete and maintain strict confidentiality



1 to 3 years’ administrative experience

Minimum of a National Diploma in Business Administration


Work environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. 


Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. 


Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervision responsibilities.
