We are a leading ICT firm located in Lagos and we seek to fill the role of a System Administrator


  • The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of network devices, systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. 
  • This individual will assist project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases of our standard Project Management Methodology. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions. Participation on projects is focused on smoothing the transition of projects from development staff to production staff by performing operations activities within the project life-cycle.
  • Install and Configure computer systems (Microsoft, UNIX and Linux)
  • Install, configured and troubleshoot issues with Network devices (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Access Points, and Wireless Controllers)
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.  Coordinate and communicate with impacted customers.
  • Project Management
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.

  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
  • Develops tools, procedures, and training sessions for target audience



  • Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science.
  • Knowledge of: Operating systems; current equipment and technologies in use; Unix system administration, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools; effective project management techniques; principles and practices of effective management and supervision.
  • Systems and Network Administration certification in CISCO (Cisco Certified Network Professional), Linux (Red Hat), UNIX and Microsoft.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in Information Security will be an added advantage.
  • Four to six years system administration experience.
  • Marketing experience is also required
