Job purpose

To guide and manage the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for a company. Responsible for developing HR strategies and providing sound advice to senior management on all related subjects.

Duties and responsibilities

\r\n

Planning

\r\n
    \r\n
  • Develop corporate plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety etc.
  • \r\n
  • Annual Manpower Budgeting and Planning
  • \r\n
\r\n

 

\r\n

Administration and Management

\r\n
    \r\n
  • Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development etc.
  • \r\n
  • Oversee all HR initiatives, systems and tactics
  • \r\n
  • Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards
  • \r\n
  • Anticipate and resolve litigation risks
  • \r\n
  • Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics
  • \r\n
  • Provide consistent feedback to management on people issues and industrial relations across all clients site.
  • \r\n

Human Resources

    \r\n
  • Serve as the point of contact for employment relations and communicate with labor unions
  • \r\n
  • Supervise the work of HR personnel and provide guidance
  • \r\n
  • Establish a close link between employees and excellent service delivery.
  • \r\n
  • Develop strategies around people to ensure engagement is consistent
  • \r\n
  • Provide overall leadership for the department
  • \r\n
  • Provide excellent support to all other team leads to drive the business, develop talent, delight clients and deliver effective service delivery around people.
  • \r\n
  • Administration of Performance Appraisal system and its timely implementation
  • \r\n
  • Close follow up on Heads of Unit on talent gaps, talent development and performance management
  • \r\n

Problem Solving

\r\n
    \r\n
  • Deal with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required
  • \r\n
  • Ensure internal relations are within a work climate that is above 95 percent.
  • \r\n
  • Enforcing  policies around people management
  • \r\n
\r\n

Qualifications

\r\n

  • Minimum degree in human resources or any related. An additional MBA or post graduate degree is   also desirable.
  • \r\n
  • Good communication and writing skill. Well-grounded in General HR functionalities and must come highly recommended for the role.
  • \r\n
  • Certificate from Local or International Human Resource Professional Bodies, i.e. CIPMN,CIPD, HRCI,SHRM
  • \r\n
  • 9-10 years relevant experience; experience in the construction industry is an advantage
  • \r\n
