Task and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance/Admin Officer will be in charge of the management of the administrative and financial operations of the organization. Specifically, he will be responsible for


Administrative running of the office;

  • The chart of accounts and creation of general ledgers for new transactions and banks;
  • Day-to-day liquidity and treasury management;
  • Coordinating and supervision of loan disbursements;
  • Managing relationship with correspondent banks;
  • Financial Statements  preparation and reporting;
  • Preparing and presenting budgets;
  • Reconciling bank books and records;
  • Fixed asset accounting including computing depreciation and amortization;
  • Liaising with statutory bodies and government agencies and rendition of all necessary returns;
  • Coordinating external audit and liaising with external auditors, and
  • Handling other duties assigned by the management



  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in accounting/finance or a numerate discipline;
  • At least 2 years’ experience in accounting and financial management preferably in the microfinance environment;
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Experience in the following in critical;


Financial analysis

Financial planning, budget preparation and monitoring

Treasury and liquidity management

Accounting and General Ledger management

Demonstrated leadership, networking and collaboration/negotiation skills;


Professional qualification e.g. ACA/ACCA is an added advantage; and

Experience dealing with external auditors is an added advantage.
