We need someone with about 5-10 years experience of working in an Audit Firm and possibly the FIRS Tax Office or State Internal Revenue Office who has a combined Audit and Tax working experience.
He must be someone with the ability to set up the accountancy practice and run it. The practice in its early years would focus primarily on Tax Assignments, management consultancy and few Audit assignments. Our core work in the formation years would be Tax work and management consultancy work.
The Audit /Tax manager must, therefore, be proficient in Tax practice with at least 5 years post qualification Tax experience.
He must be a member of both ICAN and The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
To maintain relationships with clients, winning work proactively and contributing to winning new clients
To set the marketing agenda and implement it vigorously in bringing in new clients and new work
High level management of the successful delivery of both Audit, tax and management consultancy assignments
Responsibility for day-to-day delivery of exceptional client service
Able to identify and manage areas of risk for clients and the firm, consulting appropriately
Help people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff
Build commercial networks and relationships internally and externally and manage resulting flows of opportunities
Put in place all necessary systems and procedures for the initial setup and management of the practice
Contribute to people initiatives, including retaining and training our people
Involvement in the management of the team both in terms of strategy and operations and also through managing junior staff development and assignments
