The Accounts Manager is the Chief Financial Officer of company and shall be broadly responsible for managing, directing and supervising the overall activities of the Accounting, Finance, Budget & Planning, Design and Implementation of internal controls to promote operational efficiency and safeguard the assets of the company

  • Develop, maintain and manage the Company’s financial record keeping and bank statements.
  • Responsible for the supervision of the monthly expenditure and stock management reports.
  • Responsible for the supervision and maintenance of the Company Assets Register.
  • Provide advice to the Management on accounting/cost management.
  • Ensure that all external bills are paid as and when due.
  • Produce monthly financial statements including balance sheet, profit/loss statements, and accumulative general ledger using a computer-based accounting system.
  • Ensure that all general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare monthly closing general ledger entries.
  • Review reconciliations to ensure that they are prepared properly and follow-up on all unusual items.
  • Monitor cash flow and investments.
  • Oversee the filing of tax forms and liaising with tax authorities.
  • Implement and maintain accounting and internal control procedures.
  • Where directed, identify sales opportunities, networking and fact-finding and calling on and closing new accounts.
  • Manage and penetrate customers at all levels and develop relationships with commercial and non-commercial accounts that enable achievement of plans and objectives.
  • Responsible for the Company budgets and its allocation and refinement if need be.
  • Manage the execution of Account agreements / contracts and perform visual audits of accounts, correct compliance issues, identify new sales opportunities.
  • Provide necessary reports on reconciliation of accounts.
  • Work with external auditors to ensure that audited financial statements are ready on a timely manner to meet the deadlines of all statutory filing requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant tax laws on PAYE, CITA, VAT, WHT, CGT etc.
  • Perform other duties as required.
