Job Description

AIDS Prevention Initiative in Nigeria (APIN) is a non-governmental donor-funded organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, care and support of HIV/AIDS in Nigeria. Since 2001, we have worked closely with key stakeholders, including government agencies, universities, other non-governmental organizations and donor to fight the HIV/AIDS scourge.APIN’s goal is not just to reduce the rate of growth of HIV epidemic in Nigeria but also to ultimately reverse its course. Our prevention, treatment, care and support activities span forth-two sites in ten states of the Federation and are coordinated from our offices in Abuja, Lagos and Ibadan.

A part of the key strategies of our transition, we are seeking qualified and competent persons to assume the stated role.

Inventory Specialist (Lagos)

The job holder will report to the Chief Pharmacist and will undertake day-to-day management of inventory of HIV/AIDS pharmaceutical, drugs for opportunistic infection (OIs), Laboratory commodities and other related material.

Job Task

  • Take daily inventory of HIV/AIDS pharmaceuticals, drugs for opportunistic infections, laboratory commodities and other related materials.
  • Work closely with the Logistic Officer to ensure that all package delivered by the distribution partner are accounted for and are in good condition before taking possession.
  •  Maintain record of receipts and issuance of shipments out of the warehouse to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Oversee the orderly arrangement of drugs and related products in line with Stock Location System for easy storage, retrieval and confirmation.
  • Work closely with the Logistics Officer to receive allocation and arrange the pick-up of relevant items.
  • Update tally cards and other relevant inventory tools on daily basis and render stock report on a monthly basis.
  • Participate in the quarterly review of stock of drugs and other consumables in the store.
