Job Description
AIDS Prevention Initiative in Nigeria (APIN) is a non-governmental donor-funded organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, care and support of HIV/AIDS in Nigeria. Since 2001, we have worked closely with key stakeholders, including government agencies, universities, other non-governmental organizations and donor to fight the HIV/AIDS scourge.APIN’s goal is not just to reduce the rate of growth of HIV epidemic in Nigeria but also to ultimately reverse its course. Our prevention, treatment, care and support activities span forth-two sites in ten states of the Federation and are coordinated from our offices in Abuja, Lagos and Ibadan.
A part of the key strategies of our transition, we are seeking qualified and competent persons to assume the stated role.Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (Lagos)Report to the Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator, the job holder will provide supports to the implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems, including obtaining data from the program sites, evaluating performance vis-a-vis target as well as reporting on achievement and progress made.
Logistic Officer (Lagos)
Reporting to the chief Pharmacist, the job holder will have responsibility for managing the general logistics of HIV/AIDS pharmaceutical and other related materials as wells as coordinate the in country supply chain with a view to ensuring their safe delivery and all-round availability at AON sites.
Job Tasks
- Supervise the delivery of good into and movement out of the warehouse.
- Take necessary steps to ensure that all packages delivered by the distribution partners are accounted for and are in good condition before taking possession.
- Collate all records or shipments into a monthly Logistic Report and attend to all issues relating to under-and/or over-shipment of items.
- Track shipment to and form the warehouse and other locations to APIN sites and update tracking sheets and other relevant records.
- Liaise with clearing agents, courier companies and other partner IPs on issues relating to shipment of goods.
- Work closely with the Chief Pharmacist to determine the quantity of drugs and the consumables to be procured and their allocation to APIN sites on monthly basis.
- Participate in the quarterly stock review of drugs and other consumables in the store.
- Facilitate in training and capacity building programmes for site personnel on Logisitics and Supply Chain Management.
- Pay periodic visit to programmes sites and review their material handling procedures.
- Witness and contribute to stock checks at programmes sites.
Qualification and Experience
- B.Pharm., BSc Pharmacology or a degree in Logistics and supply and 5 years experience in Logistics an supply chain management of HIV/AIDS commodities or in any other relevant functions.
- Competencies
- Logistic and operational understanding of the supply chain, including good knowledge of the principles and practices of managing ARV and viral loading kits supply chain.
- Ability to apply basic pharmacological and pharmaceutical care in HIV/AIDS.
- Familiarity with the program policies and procedures of APIN and program sites.
- Experience with government systems and dynamics of working with NGOs and private parties.
- Report writing skills.
