Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will work with project field staff under guidance of the NURHI M&E Advisor and project researcher s to coordinate NRHI project M&E and research activities in the selected urban areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Work with supervisors to develop or assist in the development of data collection and necessary data collection and training to support the research, monitoring and evaluation of NURHI project activities.
• Assist with the development and monitoring of research related contracts and consultancies.
• Collect data from staff and beneficiaries for use in quarterly and annual reports.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of data collected during formative studies and operation research activities as needed.
• Complete regular data analysis reports that track NURHI activities progress against performance indicators.
• Conducts desk research using a variety of sources to meet information needs of NURHI project staff and advisors.
• Perform other related duties as necessary,

Qualifications/Education and/or Experience

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and management skills.
• Good problem solving and independent thinking skills.
• Solid experience development and managing database.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel and database software (SPSS, Epilnfo)
• Experience working on and reporting on its indicators.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in public health or social sciences (Masters-level degree preferred)
• 3 -5 years experience managing research projects and database.
