The Targeted States High Impact Project (TSHIP) is a five yearprogram focused on the improvement of health systems and management ofhealth systems for higher quality Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health,Family Planning and Reproductive Health service delivery in Nigeria.

The IT Manager will provide a wide range of IT services to the project stadd and visiting consultants. S/he will have the primary responsibility for maintaining functioning project IT equipment, software and system, and assisting staff in developing and effectively using information technologies

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the set up of a secure, fully functional computer network in the project offices, including setting up a secure link between the two project offices
  • Training project staff on effective use of the project IT systems and to imrpove their computer skills and providing regular IT support and
  • In consultation with the project technical staff, designing a file sharing system to allow fr efficient and effective sharing of files within the project
  • Maintaining and supporting the project server, computers and network
  • Periodically backing up all project office data
  • Carrying out other duties as may be assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

  • University degree in computer science or information technology
  • 5 years experience in the field of IT, preferably with international projects
  • Outstanding computer skills, preferably with programs such as windows, word, excel, powerpoint, access and outlook
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and multitasking skills, strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills
  • English language proficiency
  • Experience in the respective region (Bauchi or Sokoto) and
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
